All In 1 Handyman was contacted by an Irvine resident to help in building a wine cellar. This home owner has a trilevel house, where the garage is on the first floor. When entering the house from the garage, there is a room that was half being used by the heating, AC and hot water tank. So the client wanted to divide this room up to be used as a wine cellar; to display their love for wine.
First Irvine Handyman went to work by removing some old closet doors and the sheet rock to get ready for the new insulation. Next was to frame out a ten foot long wall, with a door way. Also five recess lights were also installed, along with one pendant light and dimmer switches. Next was to insulated the ceiling with R30 and the walls with R12. The Irvine resident also wanted extra 2×4’s installed in the walls at two different heights for the wine rack installation purposes, via www.wineracks.com instructions. Since the wine racks were being flush mounted to the walls, the client wanted to install the wood laminate flooring first, then the dry wall.
Next was to make the walls perfectly smooth, so the Irvine home owner could do a special Venetian plaster look. Irvine Handyman also installed a custom stained door to match the wine racks and wood flooring. Also, cox cable was run into the room for a 32 inch flat screen TV, so they could drink their wine sitting on there couch and look at pictures of Italy and Napa Valley. Thanks to All In 1 Handyman for partnering and helping out on this small wine cellar project, the project went smooth, on time and on budget.
