Irvine Handyman Hangs Window Blinds in Stairwell, All In 1 Handyman was contacted by a Woodbury Irvine resident about hanging three sets of window blinds in there stairwell. When Irvine Handyman Service showed up, they assessed the height of the stairwell and how much higher the three windows are. Next was to set up a twenty four foot extension ladder setting on the stairs, and leaning up against the tall wall. Then an eight foot A-frame ladder was set up on the landing, with a two by twelve by twelve feet long plank connecting the two ladders together. These blinds were custom ordered for each window; also there were extra-long rods for adjusting the blinds from the stairwell. After getting all set up for a safe install, All In 1 Handyman installed each blind with precision. After installing Irvine Handyman removed the ladders and wood planks with utmost care not to scuff or damage the walls. Thanks to All In 1 Handyman this window blind install only took about an hour and fifteen minutes. This made the Irvine resident, quit happy and now they have privacy in the living room from their neighbors who have the exact windows on their stairwell next to them.

Irvine Handyman Installs Leviton Occupancy Sensor Infrared Wall Switch, All In 1 Handyman was contacted to install two new occupancy sensor wall switches, a light and repair two toilets. First Irvine handyman service showed up to evaluate the problems with the toilets and the pantry light fixer. It was determined that one toilet needed a new fill value and the other one a new flapper. The problem with the pantry was that the ceiling dropped to a lower height due to the stairs and also the light had a large glass globe that the client kept hitting there head on. So Irvine handyman service suggested installing a low profile light fixer with a plastic globe.

A lot of the new construction here in Irvine comes with these infrared wall switches, but not every room comes with one. So two more Leviton occupancy sensor infrared wall switches were installed, one in the pantry were most often someone would leave the light on after snacking. The other occupancy sensor was installed in the laundry room where on numerous occasions one person or another would leave the light on. These high tech wall switches have a secret spot on the front that can adjust the sensitivity of the infrared sensor. The other one has a setting of 1, 2, 3, this is for how long the light will stay on, 1 is for 5 minutes, 2 is for 15 minutes and 3 is for 30 minutes. This client wanted them set on 1, she also asked All In 1 Handyman to adjust the other three that where installed in the bathrooms to be set to 5 minutes. Irvine Handyman Installs LED Exterior Light Fixer, All In 1 Handyman was contacted by a Mission Viejo resident to install outlets and light fixers. More and more Irvine Handyman Service is asked to make their clients home more energy efficient. One simply way is to change your light fixer or even just a light bulb. Living in California a lot of the new light fixers are designed for special fluorescent light bulbs that don’t twist in but turn in a quarter of a turn or push straight in and snap in. In just the past six months or so LED lights have become cheaper and even far less energy efficient than fluorescent bulbs and especially incandescent bulbs. So if your goal for your house is to save on electricity and if you are thinking of purchasing new light fixers: make sure to look at the box closely to see what kind of light bulb it takes. For this client, he really wanted to change as much as he could of his light bulbs over to LED’s. All In 1 Handyman install three new exterior light fixers with LED light bulbs, but also the client had invested in changing all of his kitchen light bulbs over to LED’s. One thing to consider is if you have and want to use dimmer switches, you will still need to use an incandescent light bulb, unless you are willing to spend the 30+ dollars for the special dimmable fluorescent light bulbs. Irvine Handyman changes Parking lot and Office Light Bulbs, All In 1 Handyman was contacted by a local Irvine company that was in need of some parking lot, warehouse and office light bulbs changed. Irvine Handyman Service suggested that this company should invest in a twelve foot and an eighteen foot A-frame ladders, instead of renting a scissor lift every time a light bulb goes out. Once the ladders arrived All In 1 Handyman removed one of the four hundred watt light bulbs from the parking lot lights, so the proper light bulbs could be ordered. Next was to replace about fifth teen fluorescent lights in the warehouse and then to replace about eight office fluorescent light bulbs. After replacing the light bulbs, it was discovered that there were about three ballast that needed to be replaced. After the proper ballast were installed, Irvine Handyman Service replaced two back up power supply ballast in the office area and then finished up with installing the seven parking lot bulbs. Thanks to Irvine Handyman Service for changing these parking lot and office light bulbs, the office and parking lot is once again very bright.

Irvine Handyman Builds Gate Fence for Dog Run, All In 1 Handyman was contacted by an Irvine Resident about building a small fence and a gate to create a dog run. This client recently moved in, so they needed to create an area for their dogs, where they would not get in trouble by chewing up plants, hoses, sprinkler heads.  So it was determined to create a dog run on the side of the house where there is an assess door into the house and a front gate. So this served as the perfect area for a dog run. Irvine Handyman went to work building a small fence and gate to enclose the back side of this area. Since this area had already been built with flag stone. Irvine Handyman had to install a four by four post in the middle. So All In 1 Handyman used pressure treated lumber and a Simpson tie strap, lag bolt and lag shield to anchor the post to the flag stone. On the back yard side there was an eighteen inch high flag stone flower bed. So Irvine Handyman butted the post and fence board up to the flower bed to strap the post into it, to give extra support to this post. Next was to anchor two, two by fours into the stucco and cinder block wall. Then three, two by four stringer were added to create the frame for the fence. Next Irvine Handyman built a picture like frame for the gate, installed with new hardware and last was to install all the fence boards. Thanks to All In 1 Handyman, the dogs have been secured to the side of the house and now there new patio furniture can be delivered and they can begin to start entertaining without any dogie messes.

Irvine Handyman Helps Irvine Resident Move In, All In 1 Handyman was contacted by an Irvine resident to help install and hooking up their washer and dryer. When moving, some movers will or will not install your washer and dryer. In this case the new Irvine resident bought new water line hoses and new dryer exhaust vent and gas line. So Irvine Handyman Service showed to install and hook up the washer and dryer. Upon starting All In 1 Handyman found out the movers had hooked up the washer and dryer, but in the rush of it, they crushed the dryer vent when they slide it back. So Irvine Handyman Service disconnected the washer and pulled it out as far as possible, then disconnected the dryer and reconnected the dryer using the new dryer vent and gas line. Installing and hooking the dryer up in place is the key to not crimping or pinching the gas line or the exhaust vent. If the exhaust vent gets pinched or bent, the time to dry your clothes or the chance of a fire greatly increases. So once the dryer was installed and hooked up correctly, next was to install and hook up the wash machine. Thanks to Irvine Handyman Service for helping this Irvine Resident move in, they now have peace that their laundry room won’t catch on fire or flood and that their clothes dry at the appropriate time.

Irvine Handyman Builds Wheel Chair Platform Ramp, All In 1 Handyman was contacted to build and install a custom platform and wheel chair ramp. This client needed to be able to exit there car and enter there house with out changing elevations. They also needed to be able to enter the garage from the house and have a ramp to get them down to the laundry area level. So after discussing with the client exacting what the requirements and obstacles were, Irvine Handyman went to work. First, was to build frame for the wheel Chair platform, All In 1 Handyman built it with 2×6 and placed the stringer 16 inch on center to add extra strength and long life to this wheel chair platform. After building the platform, Irvine Handyman built a 5 foot long ramp with 12 inch on center stringers to be able to access the laundry area.  The last and final thing was to install 1.5 inch guard rails along the side to keep the wheel chair safely on the platform and ramp. Thanks to All in 1 Handyman, this Irvine resident is now able to pull there car into the garage and exit there car and able to check there laundry or enter house.

Irvine Handyman Builds Industrial Curtain Rods, All In 1 Handyman was contacted by a Portola Springs Irvine resident to build and install Industrial Curtain Rods in their garage. Now is a great time to fix up the garage as your putting all those Christmas boxes away back in the garage for another. This Irvine Client wanted there garage to function and to look beautiful at the same time. They also wanted to turn there garage into a play area for their little. So Irvine Handyman went to work building and installing these custom Industrial Curtain Rods. Irvine Handyman Replaces Fascia Boards and Siding, All In 1 Handyman was contacted by a Deer Field, Irvine resident to replace rotted siding and fascia boards. First Irvine handyman was asked to replace some T 1 11 siding that was destroyed by the neighbors sprinklers. All in 1 handyman finishing up with the siding repairs with Peel Stop, then with oil base primer and then with a top coat of exterior flat finish paint. Irvine Handyman also noticed that the fascia boards and some of the 2×4 support boards had termite damage and dry rot damage.  So All In 1 Handyman suggested that the fascia boards needed to be replaced or treated. The owner said that the fascia boards had been treated already, but Irvine Handyman found more damage, so the owner went ahead and had the fascia boards replaced. Thanks to All In 1 Handyman, these fascia boards and siding problems did not get any worse, but got replaced before more damage occurred.

Irvine Handyman Builds Wine Cellar, All In 1 Handyman was contacted by an Irvine resident to help in building a wine cellar. This client has a tri-level house, where the garage is on the first floor. When entering the house from the garage, there is a room that was half being used by the heating, AC and hot water tank. So the client wanted to divide this room up to be used as a wine cellar; to display their love for wine. First Irvine Handyman went to work by removing some old closet doors and the sheet rock to get ready for the new insulation. Next was to frame out a ten foot long wall, with a door way. Also five can lights were also installed, along with one pendant light and dimmer switches. Next Irvine Handyman insulated the ceiling with R30 and the walls with R12. The Irvine resident also wanted extra 2×4′s installed in the walls at two different heights for the wine rack installation purposes, via  www.wineracks.com  instructions. Since the wine racks were being flush mounted to the walls, the client wanted Irvine Handyman to install the wood laminate flooring first, then the dry wall. Next was to make the walls perfectly smooth, so the Irvine resident could do a special Venetian plaster look. Irvine Handyman also installed a custom stained door to match the wine racks and wood flooring. Also, cox cable was run into the room for a 32 inch flat screen TV, so they could drink their wine on their  sitting area  and look at pictures of Italy and Napa Valley.
